When you donate to Rock N Roll Rescue, your donations go directly to the dogs in our care. Food, housing, medical care, training, it all takes time and money. Our calling is the time, your donations are the money. Thank you for whatever you can do to help us keep the rescue going.

Discover the Unconditional Love
and Loyalty of a Rescued Dog

Dogs really are mans best friend. You'll find yourself snuggling with them on the floor, in the yard, in your bed, everywhere simply because you can't keep your hands off of the sweet addition to your pack.

Dogs require a lot of time, patience,
care and consistency.
Now is a good time to make sure you’ve thoroughly considered how a new
dog will impact your life.

  • What energy level are you looking for in a dog? Active, couch buddy, walking friend?
  • Is your current schedule flexible enough to accommodate being home with your new dog to make sure they feel safe and secure before you begin to leave them at home alone or with others?
  • Can you afford the equipment, food and medical needed to keep your dog happy, safe, and healthy?
  • Do you have a plan for when you and the family go on vacations?
  • Do you have friends or family that can take care of your new pet in case of an emergency?
  • What age dog are you looking for? If a puppy, are you prepared for the training involved with a young pup?

FAQs

How do I meet the dogs?

Meeting the dog you are interested in is the first step in our process. The dogs are available for a meet and greet Mon-Saturday from 10am -4pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please email us if you see a dog you like here...

Is there an adoption application?

Yes, that is step 2! Once you have met a dog you like, and believe that dog to be right as the newest member of your family, we will send you the initial adoption contract and go from there.

How far away will you adopt?

We will adopt up to 180 miles away as a normal rule. We do make special case exceptions, so please contact us to discuss it.

What does it cost to adopt a dog?

When someone adopts from us we request a donation of between $250 to $500 depending on the size and age of the dog being adopted.

Are all of your dogs fixed?

Yes. Not only is every dog neutered or spayed, but they get full health evaluations, a complete battery of shots, treatment for any existing conditions, and a microchip. They also spend time socializing with other dogs and people, exposure to a pack environment, and are (mostly!) housebroken (the littles can be a challenge). Basically, they are ready for their new home!

What kind of dogs do you have?

WE are not breed specific and get most of our rescues from high-dump areas of the Antelope Valley. The majority are medium to large size dogs. We see a lot of pit bulls, German shepherds, Belgian Malinois’, and huskies. But we get them in all breeds, shapes and sizes! If you let us know what you are looking for, we are amazing at matching families to dogs!

What else is involved in the adoption process?

After you have submitted an application, we will follow up with a home inspection. After that, every adoption starts with a 30-Day “foster period” to make sure everyone gets a chance to feel things out. After the 30-day foster, you will complete a final adoption contract and make your furry friend the newest member of your family.

Do you have special needs dogs?

YES! If you are looking for a pup who needs some special care and love, please let us know, we also have senior dogs who make wonderful companions as well.
